After Echo met her and inducted her into the Youth Alliance. He told her she reminded him of the Greek God Poseidon that controls the seas and creatures in it. She gladly made that her codename after that.
Bio:
Birth:
Lioa was born by a Mermaid off the coast off Africa, her father had no idea she was born until the mermaid came to him a month later. He father noticed she didn't have fins like her mother or her pale/fair skin. She had his dark pigmentation; he demanded to keep her but her mother was unwilling to give her up saying, "No! She's a child of the sea... she's been giving the gift of breath from the waters of Poseidon and the speech of gills." In short she could breathe under water and talk to the fish, what her mother had not known was that the girl could actually move the water around her at will.
Lioa's father, Ojore Kondo, ended up winning their child when the ruler of the mermaid found out Coralia, Lioa's mother, had shared her powers with a human for a day to bear a child without his consent. She was given a day to give the child to the father before she was killed.
Lioa grew up with her father in a slightly above middle class family. A she began to age glowing green spots covered her back and shoulders. Like freckles but glowing and green.
Age 5:
One rainy day the rain that fell didn’t touch her. People began to fear her for her abilities, though her father always told her she was special. She loved her father dearly.
Age 10:
A medicine man for the surrounding village came to her father and begged that the man kill Lioa. Lioa was peaking from a cracked door when she saw the medicine man give her father a packet which she watched her father throw out the window yelling at the man. Lioa became angry and lashed out at the man that dared to anger her father. She moved the water from a near by fish tank around his head and drowned him. Her father took his child and fled to America on a Visa. They moved to Florida near a beach.
Age 14:
Lioa became a US citizen. She was home schooled, in which she took her spare time in training her abilities.
Age 15:
Lioa begins to research and see if they are other people with abilities like hers. She finds a teen that calls himself: Echo. He heads up a group of teenagers that fight crime. She decided to sneak out on night to approach the teen, when she finds him fighting an enemy. They happen to be on a beach area, she takes advantage of this and commands the water on the enemy to covered all of the man’s body besides his head. Lioa keeps the man still while approaching ‘Echo’ about joining his troupe. He is more than willing to let her join and gives her a badge. She dropped the man in front of Echo, who quickly disables the man for the authorities.
For the next two years she fights side by side with Thumbelina and Echo to fight crime.
